Me, personally?

I'm a lover of the written word. An admirer of good, but more importantly, functional design. I have a list of favourite words. Yeah, I'm a geek like that.

FetchingDogCollars.com is where I get all my craftiness out. I make, market and sell dog collars! Not just any dog collars either -- only the pinkest, quirkiest, leopard-printiest collars will do for me and my pup. Sometimes you'll find me selling my wares at local craft markets or fairs. Almost always you'll find me tweaking and tinkering with my website, and learning marketing techniques by trial and error.

Through that business, I learned about Search Engine Optimization. Sounds dull, right? It's actually kinda fascinating. SEO is the art of getting your website to the top of the almighty Google search listings. And since Google basically rules the world, getting to the top of the listings is a BIG deal, especially for business owners. So because of that, I've learned to target both humans and search engines with my writing.

During my Journalism program, I was immersed in the newspaper and magazine industry. From page layout, to photography, to writing news & feature stories, I've done it all and I love it all.

I L-O-V-E to travel. Most recently, I visited India & Nepal, where I fell in love with the chaos, tranquility, samosas, and the incomparable golden lighting that occurs every sunrise & sunset. Take a look for yourself!
